What is the Difference between Home Healthcare and Home Care?

Home healthcare provides skilled medical treatment under the orders a doctor, nurse practitioner, or physicians assistant. This is done by a nurse or therapist.

Home care assists with dressing, bathing, cooking, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation, companionship, and many other activities of daily living.

A home healthcare nurse might provide wound care and medication management, while a home care attendant will help with bathing and cooking.
